Reviews
First time bowling in ancaster leisure. Friendly staff and an amazing atmosphere. Came here with my partner my brother and his nephew. Definitely will come again soon.
Shannon
Great place. Came here for a friend’s 30th and given the current situation everything was really well done and planned. Definitely great fun although not the fastest circuit I’ve raced at but definitely value for money.
Julian Garwood
Highly recommend. Staff are amazing and very professional. Safety is top notch. Great day out with the family. If you have time spend the day, you will not regret it.
Adventure Republic
Fantastic day, fantastic staff. Well priced food and drink. Great for adults and children.
Ordered a coffee for PS3 and then at the machine changed my mind and asked for tea bag. The girl refunded me PS1 without even asking!
Lots of fun

FAQs
What locations are within 2 hours of Ancaster Leisure?
We’re lucky enough to be positioned within easy reach of: Alfreton, Arnold, Beeston, Belper, Bingham, Boston, Bourne, Bulwell, Coalville, Derby, Heanor, Hucknall, Ilkeston, Kirkby-in-Ashfiled, Leicester, Lincoln, Long Eaton, Loughborough, Louth, Mablethorpe, Mansfield, Matlock, Newark, Nottingham, Oadby, Oakham, Peterborough, Retford, Skegness, Sleaford, Southwell, Spalding, Stamford, Sutton-In-Ashfield, West Bridgford and Worksop
How fast can the karts go?
Unfortunately, being an outdoor track, the weather conditions determine the speed you will be able to reach but they have a straight line maximum of approximately 50mph.
What if a kart breaks down?
Despite a high maintenance schedule, mechanical failures can occur. In these situations, we will rectify the situation in the most viable way possible; this is typically a replacement kart as soon as possible or an extension in time or laps to the current session. If damage is caused by the driver’s neglect, a replacement may not be provided.
Do I need to book Karting in advance?
Activities can fill up fast, especially at weekends and school holidays, so we strongly recommend booking in advance. You can do so here.
Who can take part?
Race of Champions is open to 17-22 drivers, aged 16 or over, and works best with bigger groups- the more drivers, the more intense the competition.
What karting gear is included?
Helmets and overalls are provided. All karting drivers using our helmets must wear a balaclava. A balaclava and glove bundle can be purchased online for £4 or on-site for £5
Do I need experience?
Not at all. Our team will explain everything before you hit the track, whether it’s your first race or you’re a seasoned karting fan
What do I wear?
We recommend you wearing layers and anything you wouldn’t mind getting dirty. Please also wear sturdy, flat soled and closed toe shoes. Dress for the weather!
How long will it take?
From being briefing through qualifying and racing, plan for around 1-2 hours depending on group size and format choices
Can I wear my own helmet?
Yes, as long as it is full-faced, as helmets must have a visor and not goggles.
